This week Tatty Devine joined My Flash Trash as a new designer on the site. Tatty Devine's jewellery is all handmade in Britain and caters to everyones tastes.

Tatty Devine have been designing and making jewellery since 1999, and still design and make almost everything in their own workshops in England.

Tatty Devine is Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine. They set up the company in 1999, and still run it completely independently. Tatty Devine has become a cult classic of British fashion with its witty, offbeat designs. They still design every piece, and 99% of the jewellery is made by hand in Tatty Devine's own workshops (one in London and one in Kent). Each year, two main collections are launched at London Fashion Week.

The Woman in Violet Darkling

We hid behind our programmes during the theatre performance of The Woman in Black last year, and we hid behind our popcorn during the cinema showing of The Woman in Black today. Though, have we managed to find some unlikely style inspiration?

Creepy, gloomy, irredeemably tense and... Stylish? The film may have made us scream (a few times), but what we managed to see through very very squinted and sheilded eyes was a beautifully designed set, an amazing display of cinematography and an abundance of gothic influences. We're also ecstatic to see Daniel Radcliffe without a broom stick, and instead showing off some serious thespian skills rather than magic tricks.

We've picked some jewels that we think the Woman in Black herself would approve of. We're not saying you should roam around haunted houses and walk into marshes, but perhaps channel your inner goth a little. A Violet Darkling ring, or two, should do the trick.
