As we’re only a short train ride away from South Kensington, it would be rude not to pop into the Victoria and Albert’s current exhibition on post modernism, wouldn’t it?

The alternative yet ever so aesthetically pleasing archive of the artistic movement made for a very, very interesting exhibition. “Postmodern style had many different faces; colourful and ruinous, ludicrous and luxurious” read the fluorescent orange sign on the entrance. After adoring the Grace Jones statue, being freaked out by the Boy George hologram and eyeing up the Gijs Bakker jewellery; we came to the end of our juxtaposition of a journey.

Not only do we clearly love jewellery here at My Flash Trash, but we also love art. So what could be better than when the two are combined?  We couldn’t help but be reminded of some of our pieces during the exhibition…

Patricia Nicolas’s Acid Wash Bracelet, £152, is very reminiscent of the bold artwork. The contrast of colour and size, delicate and strong were also key features in the movement of Post Modernism. To find your very own piece of art, visit www.myflashtrash.com
