London Jewellery Week 2012

London Jewellery Week took place at Somerset House from the 11-17th June. The weeklong event boasted an array of designer talent and jewellery from around the globe and attracted visitors in their thousands.

My Flash Trash exhibited collections from five designers during ‘Treasure” which ran from the 14-17th. This included BlingDeenie, Anne Bowes, Catherine Zoraida, Estella Bartlett and NIIN, which were all showcased from Flash Trash’s own room.  The five collections displayed had a huge variety between them and appealed to a range of audiences. Whether you wanted to find something to dress up an elegant outfit or simply to wear for a day-to-day luxe look, Flash Trash had something for everyone.

Alongside showcasing collections from five of our esteemed designers, Flash Trash were also trialing out a new mobile payment system called “Izettle”. This allowed customers to purchase products using their credit or debit card via a small device that is attached to an Ipad. The “Izettle” feature was a big success and a great talking point.

The special thing about London Jewellery Week is that it has such a variety and array of pieces from so many different parts of the world, making it the event to go to when in search of the creme de la creme of jewellery. It is a platform for designers to integrate, share their passion and showcase their work. There is nothing better than connecting with like-minded people from the same industry over a shared interest whilst allowing members of the pubic to appreciate and invest in your work. This is exactly what London Jewellery Week allows to happen.
